Bios: George Minardos

George Minardos is the founder and CEO of .BUILD, the new top level domain for all builders.  His is vision is to innovate the way builders create and communicate their online identity, while pushing building the new Internet in the latest expansion as set forward by ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).

As President and Founder of Minardos Group for over two decades, George Minardos possesses a list of professional and academic achievements, and delivers a straightforward presentation of building-related knowledge that’s made him a trusted consultant in the building industry. George’s vision and commitment to design-centered projects continues to guide and build the Minardos Group into an institution that is unique among its peers.

After completing a degree in entrepreneurial management from the Wharton School of Business and spending summers on Wall Street, George decided that Wall Street life was not for him. He returned to his native Los Angeles to obtain a degree in English literature from UCLA. He then realized that his real passion was for architecture, and started in the building business immediately after college.

The passions of life long learning and constant improvement drive George in his daily business activities.   He has been an active member in YPO Santa Monica Bay Chapter where he is currently the chapter chair.

George is a board member for several nonprofits including the foundation he founded, Race for a Cause Charitable Trust, which raises money for environmental causes via the global sailboat racing circuit. He has a passion for the arts and sits on the Santa Monica Arts Commission and Chairs the Santa Monica Arts Foundation.  When not working, George enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons, along with sailing, diving, dining, traveling, art, languages and philanthropy.
